It’s hard to believe a legend like Chuck Norris is no longer with us. It is possible that we just lost our Anchor Being. In tribute to the toughest man ever to man, here are 13 facts about the legendary roundhouse kick producer.

  • He was personally invited by Bruce Lee to appear in the movie Way of the Dragon due to Chuck’s martial arts tournament reputation and the two became good friends.

  • He created his own martial arts style called Chun Kuk Do which means “The Universal Way” or “Way of 1,000 Lands”.
  • He was an Air Force Police Officer before he became an actor but he was awarded the title of honorary marine in 2007.
  • His full name was Carlos Ray Norris and he didn’t start go by Chuck until he was grown up and stationed in South Korea.
  • He once endorsed Chuck Norris Action Jeans that featured flexible crotch fabric for maximum kick action.
  • He had his own cartoon in the 80’s called “Karate Kommandos” which was scheduled for 65 episodes but got cancelled after six because the network said it was too violent.
